Executive Director/Founder

Kurt Ragin, MSW, is the Executive Director of SWACE Health. As Executive Director, Kurt has been able to integrate his many years within the public health profession and ballroom community to cultivate a unique healthcare experience.

Ragin leads the engagement of direct healthcare services, capacity building, and community development for SWACE. Ragin’s work includes guiding stakeholder engagement strategies, establishing community partnerships, constructing health messaging activities, and developing health disparities awareness and educational initiatives nationwide for the Black and Brown LGBTQIA+ community.

Keelan Johnson iis a multifaceted Artist, Educator, Organizer, and Mental Health Advocate based in Seattle, WA.

As a visual and performance artist, the core of Keelan’s artistry focuses on authenticity and self-preservation, merging illustration, graphic design, and dance. These disciplines explore themes of blackness, queerness, femininity/masculinity, and the intersections they meet.

A leader and legend in the kiki ballroom scene, Keelan is part of the legendary kiki House of Mattel. A parental figure in the community, they challenge their kids to create memorable moments, sharpen their creativity, and push themselves to reach their full potential in and out of ballroom.
